At Limmaland, we place great importance on materials that are not only functional and durable, but also responsibly sourced. Our products are made from carefully tested materials that we can confidently place in children's hands. Because quality, safety and sustainability are particularly important in places where children play, learn and discover.

Changing world – soft and safe
Our changing mats and changing cushions have a high-quality cover made from 100% cotton. It is robust and pleasantly soft at the same time. All covers are Oeko-Tex ® Standard 100 certified, woven in Germany and machine washable at 30 or 60 degrees, depending on the product. The soft foam inlay (100% polyurethane) Changing pad should only be rinsed separately.
KURA curtains – cosy and light
Our KURA curtains are made of light, soft muslin made from 100% cotton and create a pleasant, calm atmosphere in the nursery. The fabric is breathable, hangs softly and is ideal for everyday use. The curtains are washable at 30 degrees and are therefore easy to care for.
wood products
Wood – natural and carefully crafted
Our wood products are manufactured in Germany. We use selected, durable materials. The footrests for the ANTILOP highchair are made from rounded beech wood, produced in Germany and treated with a water-based, solvent-free varnish. Our KURA bookends and curtain rods are made from pine solid wood and impress with their natural look and feel. The handles for the DUKTIG play kitchen are made from beech wood.
MDF – robust and child-safe
Our changing table tops are made from high-quality MDF boards and coated with a child-friendly varnish to ensure the highest safety standards. This varnish meets all current safety standards and is free from harmful substances, so you don't have to worry about your child's health.
Adhesive films – durable and easy to clean
Our Limmaland films are made of PVC, as they meet all the requirements we set for children's playing surface. Of course, our films are CE-certified, so they never pose a safety risk to children. We print them using a modern latex printing process, an environmentally friendly digital printing process with water-based inks. This process is completely harmless to health, as it contains neither harmful solvents nor toxic vapours. So you can be sure that our films are not only safe, but also sustainable and high-quality. The wall and furniture films are all removable. This means you can continue to use the furniture after the play phase.
By the way: we only print your adhesive films after you have placed your order. This way, we avoid overproduction and nothing ends up in the bin!
Play table film
High-quality lamination on all play table films makes the surface particularly robust and scratch-resistant, so that it can withstand wild play. Even Matchbox cars cannot damage the play table film!
Outdoor film
For our mud kitchen, we use a particularly robust adhesive that is specially designed for outdoor use. The lamination is UV-resistant, weatherproof and durable, and can easily withstand sun, rain and daily play. This means that the surface remains protected even with intensive use and looks good for a long time.
Leather – natural and durable
For our leather products, we use leather produced according to the Terracare standard, which is manufactured in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner. Terracare means that the leather is produced in a CO2-neutral way, does not pollute the natural water cycle, is based on a renewable raw material and is produced by socially secure employees. The raw material for our leather comes from Germany and is among the highest quality raw materials in the world. For our leather products, we use a lightly waxed leather that wears naturally and also changes colour and comes to life depending on the lighting conditions.
Plastic-free packaging
We avoid using plastic in our packaging wherever possible. We have already achieved this 100% for most of our products. Our shipping boxes are completely plastic-free. All our products are lovingly and carefully packed by hand before they set off on their journey to your child's bedroom.
You too can help us protect the environment
Only order products that you really want to keep. If you cannot avoid returning an item, please use the original box and pack the products carefully so that they can be reused.
