Elf at Limmaland – A look back from 2018 to the present

What began in 2018 as a lovely little extra in our parcels is now a cherished family tradition in thousands of homes: the ‘ elf’. Year after year, our little ‘ elf world’ has grown – inspired by your ideas, wishes and stories. Together with you, we have continued to develop the magic – from a simple sticker to well-thought-out complete sets full of imagination and family moments. We’ll take you on a journey and look back together at the milestones of the Limmaland Wichtel.

The first elf door

It all began with a little red elf door. The tradition of the christmas elf originates from Scandinavia. We thought the idea was so sweet that we included our own elf door as a free sticker with every order from Limmaland. We also added the first little Secret Santa letters to download – and your enthusiasm was huge!

More ideas, more elf-magic

You were so enchanted by elf that you wanted even more ideas! So we got together and developed the very first daily planner download set, packed with little treats and ideas for every day. It’s, so to speak, the first prototype of our popular elf handbook. The little ‘ elf door’ has had an upgrade, and we’ve designed an extra sticker sheet featuring a doormat and cute decorative elements.

The first all-in-one set

The downloadable prototype was so popular with you all that you wanted even more elf-magic. We spent a whole year working on it, and finally the time had come: the first elf complete set, complete with a book, was released! A full set featuring tiny miniature furniture and a reusable wooden elf door. The centrepiece of our set was the first printed ‘ elf’ handbook – featuring ready-made elf letters, craft templates and pranks for every day. The perfect set for anyone wanting to kick off their first ‘ elf season’ stress-free and brimming with creative ideas.

More gnome adventures to come

You asked us with great enthusiasm: ‘What are we doing in the second year?’ So we got to work and developed a completely new accessory set. 100% new pranks and ideas have been immortalised in the elf Handbook 2 – naturally, once again to match the new ERWEITA accessory set. And because you could hardly wait for your gnome to arrive, we’ve added construction site accessories and a colourful gnome house as stickers.

A new character: the reindeer

Following two years with the Limmaland elf, we have created a third year together with our elf community: the elf is getting a new companion – the reindeer as a new friend. Once again, a completely new accessory set has been created featuring a new star. The Limmaland Reindeer is here and has been designed with great care. A third daily planner makes the elf season unique once again. Plus: the popular elf house and reindeer stable are no longer stickers, but reusable and complement the existing sets perfectly.

Now in its fourth year, we’re once again taking our elf community by the hand and making it elf season a breeze to achieve complete success. A new chapter begins: a companion book for all three sets – inspired by your favourite moments from recent years. We’ve developed this book for all Secret Santa experts who can’t get enough of elf-magic and already have all three Secret Santa sets at home. Using existing accessories, you can create completely new elf pranks – as usual, complete with a detailed daily schedule and ready-made Secret Santa letters.

Our journey is far from over – quite the opposite! For 2026, we’d like to work with you to develop new elf accessories and magical ideas that will make elf season even more wonderful. We love our ‘ elf’ Bruno. It’s only October, but the two older ones are already telling their little brother every day that he’ll be coming back to us very soon.
