IKEA HACK for the summer – chill the fizzy drinks, we’re making a ‘ play barbecue’!
Here’s what you’ll need for the ‘ play barbecue’:
- an IKEA UTTER children’s stool, a
- small IKEA TROFAST box with a lid,
- a few knobs and handles of your choice,
- Limmaland ‘FEURIG’ adhesive film
- , a cordless drill
- ,
- two
- screws with
- nuts, pebbles and black spray paint (to look like charcoal)
Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Screw the box onto the stool
First, assemble the UTTER stool following the instructions. Then place the TROFAST box on top of the stool’s seat. Now drill two pilot holes through which the stool and the box will be joined together.
Step 2: Fit the knobs and handles
Now drill the holes for the handles in your Trofast box. And now you can simply screw on the colourful knobs and handles. It’s already starting to look like a proper play grill!
Making charcoal for the ‘ play barbecue’
To ensure that little barbecue masters can barbecue just like the grown-ups, we’ve got another brilliant idea for a very special accessory. After all, you can’t do without charcoal! All you need is a few pebbles, which you spray with black paint. And there you have it – charcoal for the ‘ play barbecue’.
