Learning road signs & building site games for children
Learn road signs through play with the Limmaland print-out
Road rules are important – which is why even our youngest children should be introduced as early as possible to the meaning of the different signs . And it doesn’t have to be boring at all! After all, the best way to learn is through play. That’s why today we’re showing you how you can teach your children about road signs using very simple methods. Safety first!
Here’s what you’ll need for the craft project:
- the Limmaland craft template
- a sheet of sturdy paper
- scissors
- glue
- a few toothpicks or kebab skewers
- a few bottle corks
- craft knife
Step 1: Print out the template and cut out the signsStart
by downloading our ready-made craft template. It’s best to print the signs on slightly sturdier paper, so that they don’t get damaged whilst playing. Now get your scissors out and cut out the road signs.
Step 2: Cut the bottle corks to size
Next up are the bottle corks. These will later hold our signs in place. This is where the sharp craft knife comes into play – so it’s best if Mum or Dad takes care of this step. We’ve cut each cork into 3 slices. That way, the size is just right! Please note: if you’re using shish kebab skewers for your craft project, you can also cut these into 3 pieces each using the craft knife. This will give you pieces roughly the size of a toothpick.
Step 3: Sticking the signs onto the toothpicks
Step 4: Stick the toothpicks into the corks
