IKEA BEKVÄM spice rack as a children’s book shelf

Where do you put all those picture books and children’s books, which, with their mostly oversized formats, end up squeezed onto a shelf somewhere or piled on a table? You can put an end to that now! For very little money, you can get the IKEA BECKVÄM spice rack, which works perfectly as a bookcase for the children’s room. This sturdy rack can hold books of all sizes. In true Montessori style, the little ones can reach the books themselves and keep themselves occupied independently.

Another idea you see very often is using a shelf as a coat rack. No wonder, as it really is a brilliant and simple solution for displaying little ones’ clothes in a way that’s both attractive and practical. @parallelgatanfjorton has even painted these handy mini shelves to match the wall colour.
