Was gehört alles zum Wickelplatz?

Ein gut ausgestatteter Wickelplatz ist für einen reibungslosen Wickelvorgang deines Babys unverzichtbar. Um sicherzustellen, dass das Wickeln sowohl für dich als Elternteil als auch für deinen kleinen Schatz bequem und angenehm ist, gibt es einige grundlegende Dinge, die an einem Wickelplatz nicht fehlen sollten:

Wickelunterlage: Die Wickelunterlage bildet die Grundlage des Wickelplatzes. Wähle eine Wickelunterlage mit kuscheliger Polsterung und einer Oberfläche, die sich mühelos reinigen lässt. So wird jedes Windelwechseln zu einem gemütlichen und hygienischen Erlebnis.
Mobilé: Ein buntes und beruhigendes Mobilé über dem Wickelplatz kann eine fantastische Möglichkeit sein, um dein Baby während des Wickelns abzulenken und zu unterhalten. Gerade Mobilés mit sanfter Musik oder beweglichen Figuren bieten sich an.
Wärmelampe: Besonders in den kälteren Monaten ist eine Wärmelampe eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zum Wickelplatz. Sie sorgt dafür, dass es dein kleiner Lieblingsmensch während des Wickelns kuschelig warm hat und nicht auskühlt.
Nachtlicht: Um dein Baby und dich bei nächtlichen Wickelvorgängen nicht allzu sehr aus dem Schlaf zu reißen, ist ein sanftes Nachtlicht in der Nähe des Wickelplatzes eine clevere Wahl. So findet ihr beide nach dem Wickeln wieder schneller zurück in einen erholsamen Schlaf.
Windeleimer: Wenn du Einwegwindeln und Feuchttücher verwendest, benötigst du einen geeigneten Ort, um schmutzige Windeln und Co. zu entsorgen. Mit geruchsdichten Windeleimern oder Windeltwistern bleibt der Wickelbereich stets frisch und hygienisch.

Was brauchst du beim Wickeln?

Die Schubladen deiner Wickelkommode sind ideal, um alles zu verstauen, was du täglich beim Wickeln benötigst. So bleibt der Wickelplatz ordentlich – und du hast alle wichtigen Babyutensilien sofort zur Hand.

Windeln: Windeln sind das A und O. Achte darauf, immer genug Windeln in der passenden Größe vorrätig zu haben. Tipp: Ein Windel-Abo kann dir den regelmäßigen Nachschub erleichtern.
Waschlappen oder Feuchttücher: Feuchttücher helfen bei der sanften Reinigung und sind besonders praktisch für unterwegs. Am besten für zu Hause ist aber ein Waschlappen mit warmem Wasser, dieser ist besonders hautfreundlich. Tipp: Ein Wasserspender mit Pumpfunktion ist super praktisch für schnelle Reinigungen.
Pflegeprodukte: Milde Baby-Pflegeprodukte wie Öl, Creme oder Lotion schützen die empfindliche Haut. Achte auf hypoallergene Formulierungen ohne unnötige Duftstoffe.
Ersatzkleidung: Unfälle passieren – deswegen gehört Ersatzkleidung unbedingt in die Wickelkommode. Bodys, Strampler und Wickelshirts sind besonders praktisch und leicht anzuziehen.

Bring organisation into the nappy-changing chaos! Use baskets or boxes to store your changing utensils such as care products, wet wipes and other items in an organised way.

Larger drawer changing units can quickly become untidy. You can easily avoid chaotic drawer with our organisers. Sort bodysuits, rompers and other items upright in the small compartments and make optimum use of the space. This way, your baby's clothes are immediately at hand - without having to search for them during nappy changing.

Maximise the storage space in your changing area!

A hanging organiser on the side of the changing unit offers additional storage space for nappies, clothes or other baby items. And an organiser like this also looks pretty.

Clever containers

The ÖNKSLIG containers* from IKEA offer an extremely practical solution for keeping all the important items at the changing table to hand at all times. They are particularly user-friendly thanks to their easy attachment to the edge of the changing table.

The hooks included in the set also make it possible to hang towels, flannels or pyjamas both on the table and on the wall. In addition, the largest bin can be used as a waste bin, either by hanging it on the edge of the changing table or by simply placing it on the floor.

Picture rails

Picture rails allow you to make efficient use of the vertical space above the changing unit. By placing several picture rails on top of each other, you can create additional storage space for nappies, care products and other important baby items without taking up valuable space on the changing surface.

Safety note: However, make sure that the shelf is firmly and securely attached to the wall.

To make the baby room even cosier, you can add a wall tattoo above the shelf to create a special accent in the baby room. Or how about stickers underneath the shelf? That way, your baby has something to look at during the nappy-changing process.

Sensible arrangement

A well thought-out arrangement of baby items in your changing unit not only allows you to make optimum use of the available space, but also ensures that the most important changing utensils such as nappies, wet wipes or baby powder are always to hand.

The surface of a changing unit usually offers enough space for the essential changing utensils. However, if space is limited, baby items can easily be stored in the top drawer of the changing unit. Clever, isn't it?

Basically, all baby items that you don't need for every nappy change but still want to have to hand quickly should be stored in the top drawer drawer. These include wet wipes, medication, creams and other items.
