Learning traffic signs & construction site games for children

Sometimes things can get pretty turbulent in traffic and on the construction site ... Especially in the morning on the way to kindergarten or school, there is a lot going on on the roads. It is therefore particularly important that our little ones also follow the traffic rules - so that dangerous situations don't arise in the first place. At Limmaland, we have once again come up with something : today we are showing you how your children can learn traffic signs in a playful way . And little builders will also get their money's worth with our craft template.

Playfully learn traffic signs with the Limmaland print template

The traffic rules are important - which is why even our youngest children should be introduced to the meaning of the various signs as early as possible. And it doesn't have to be boring! The best way to learn is by playing anyway. So today we're going to show you how you can learn traffic signs with your children using very simple methods . Safety first!

Step 1: Print out the template and cut out the signs

You start by downloading our prepared craft template. It's best to print out the signs on a slightly thicker paper, so that they don't break while you're playing. Now take out your scissors and cut out the traffic signs.

Step 2: Cut the bottle corks to size

The next step is to cut out the bottle corks. These will later hold our signs. This is where the sharp cutter knife comes into play - so this step is best done by mum or dad. We cut each cork into 3 slices. This way, the size fits perfectly! Please note: If you are using kebab skewers for crafting, then you can also cut them into 3 pieces using the cutter knife. This will give you roughly the size of a toothpick.

Step 3: Glue the signs to the toothpicks

On the glue, get set, go! Now glue the cut-out traffic signs to the toothpick in pairs. Make sure that you use the same sign from both sides. And of course they should be stuck on the right way round - after all, we want to learn the right road signs.

Step 4: Stick the toothpicks into the corks

Now you're as good as done. Finally, just stick the toothpicks with the signs into the cork discs - and you have a great DIY product that combines fun with learning!
