And we're sure you'll be just as excited about it. So, pack up the family and take a trip to IKEA, because here you'll find everything you need for your jungle decorations:

2x IKEA RIBBA* picture frame in the colour of your choice
2x IKEA FEJKA* artificial potted plants
2x IKEA DJUNGELSKOG* soft toy
2x IKEA OKUVLIG* drinking straws
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Craft instructions for the jungle decoration

As soon as you've finished your shopping at IKEA (and who can resist not grabbing an extra or two? 😜), it's time to start the crafting fun.

Here's a little checklist to make sure you're perfectly prepared:

Lay out all your materials and treasures that you found at IKEA neatly on your crafting area.
Get ready for a creative break and get in the mood for the jungle magic.
If you've picked up additional decorative elements, think about how best to integrate them.

If the whole family is in crafting fever, please make sure that hot glue guns and other tools that get hot or sharp only get into the hands of adults. Safety is paramount and we want everyone to enjoy the craft day unscathed.

So, now all the preparations have been made and you are ready to fill the jungle with life.

Step 1 - Prepare the frame

First, it's time for the groundwork: carefully remove the disc and the passe-partout (the cardboard frame) from your IKEA RIBBA frame.

Once you have put these parts to one side, put the backsplash back in place. Now you have the perfect canvas for your jungle work.

Step 2 - The jungle framework

Now the creative part begins!

Take the IKEA OKUVLIG bamboo drinking straws and spread them wildly across the frame. Lay them criss-cross for a real jungle look and then fix them carefully with the hot glue gun.

Tip: The straws also look good on the outside of the frame.

Step 3 - Now it's getting green

Once you've finished the basic structure, it's time to add the greenery. Cut the stems of your IKEA artificial plants to size and then arrange them artfully between, on and under the bamboo straws.

Let your imagination run wild, because in the jungle everything grows and thrives wildly!

Step 4 - The animals move in

If you are happy with the result so far, you can now move in the soft toys of your choice. It's best to glue them in place so that your jungle decoration is not only adorable, but also durable - whether in the children's room jungle or as the centrepiece of the jungle party.
