Making card holders for children and adults
The card holder will be a great help for young children who find it difficult to play card games without immediately revealing their cards to the other players. The cards can be easily inserted into this card holder and held in the hand without any problems! We show you how to do this in a few simple steps.
What you need for the card holder
- 2 x cork coasters
- Stainless steel screws with washers and nuts
- Drill or another tool to pierce the cork
- First, take both cork coasters and mark a dot in the centre of each one.
- Using a drill or another tool, pierce the marked dots. Place the narrow sides of the coasters back to back and fasten them together with the screw.
- Now just insert the cards into the narrow gap between the two coasters – and you're ready to start playing!
It's really great for holding cards. It's also easy to pull cards out. However, it's not so good at inserting cards on its own, or rather, it only works with thin cards, which get creased. I loosened the screw a little, but it still needs a little help when inserting cards. Overall, though, I think it's great!
