Twin rooms: tips for furnishing a twin room
Twins' room: tips for double the furnishings
Parents always have a hard time when it comes to interior design in the children's room. Especially when everything has to be double! Furnishing a twin's room requires a lot of creativity, flexibility and occasionally also craftsmanship. Here we would like to introduce you to both individually decorative and space-saving ideas with one room - two children in mind!

Space-saving furnishings and plenty of room to play in the twins' room
If you want to keep two children of the same age in the same place at the same time, you need enough space to keep them entertained through play. However, it is usually the classic rooms that are only made available to one child. That's why you need to choose furniture that takes up as little space as possible but still offers plenty of storage options. On Instagram, we discovered a great idea from @silvera_sam that offers a large writing and crafting surface as well as great storage options! The IKEA TROFAST series has been selected to save a lot of space. This means that both children have their own storage space and enough room to share the writing area. An excellent creative idea for two little craft fans.
The sleeping area is also particularly important for children. Nevertheless, the beds should not take up too much space from the playroom. After all, the twins want to let off steam creatively in the children's room and spend a lot of time playing. This is why bunk beds are particularly suitable and can also be remodelled as desired. @twinswildlife has realised this idea with the classic IKEA KURA loft beds. The upper floors serve as a play area with the great house frames, so that the conventional bunk beds also fit beautifully into the children's room and playroom. Incidentally, the IKEA KURA bunk beds can also be covered with Limmaland furniture foils. These are available in many different colours and can also be personalised with names.
A play kitchen for 2 in the twins' room
We discovered a uniquely great idea on Instagram at @fampe.sk that transformed two IKEA DUKTIG children's kitchens into one! The realisation of this idea clearly requires a lot of craftsmanship and a visit to the DIY store, but it's still a great end result!
Stackable and affordable: the IKEA ANTILOP highchair
The IKEA ANTILOP high chairs are ideal for the real kitchen or dining area as they are stackable and inexpensive. The latter has the disadvantage that the chairs look a little boring. They also lack the footrest, which is supposed to give children support while eating. But we have a great solution for that too. We discovered the pimped-up high chairs in a double pack at @aboutawoman. She covered the legs with our SNYGGA FOT film and then fitted our footrest. Looks great, doesn't it?
Personalised decoration and furniture in the twins' room
When pieces of furniture are personalised, they immediately appear much more individual - just as individual as our twins. Two IKEA FLISAT stools*, which can bear the names or initial letters of the little ones, are allowed at the craft table. The furniture foils are made to fit the FLISAT stool perfectly and can be found very cheaply at IKEA.
