IKEA DIY: Making card holders for children
IKEA DIY: Making card holders for children
Children love card games! However, most of them find it super difficult to hold the cards in their hands in the same order as adults and concentrate on the game at the same time . We have a simple craft idea to solve this problem ! In simple steps we explain how to create a practical card holder from simple cup coasters!
Card holder craft for children and adults
The card holder will be a great relief for small children who have difficulty playing card games without having to show them to their fellow players face up. The cards can be easily inserted into this card holder and held in the hand without any problems! We'll show you how to do this in a few simple steps.
What you need for the card holder
- 2 x cork coasters *
- Stainless steel screws with washer and nut
- Drill or other tool to get through the cork
- First take both cork coasters and mark them with a dot in the centre.
- Use a drill or other instrument to pierce the marked points. Once the narrow sides of the coasters have been placed back to back, they can be secured with the screw.
- Now just insert the cards into the narrow gap between the two coasters - and the card game can begin!
It's really great for holding. Pulling out cards is also easy. It's just that it can't insert cards so well on its own, or only in such a way that thin cards crumple. I've loosened the screw a bit, but she still needs a bit of help putting them in. But overall I think it's great!
